Work Summary
Narrative Designer:
I was the narrative designer for Darkest Abyss. This was my first narrative-focused game, my only solo project, and my only game made in Twine at this moment in time. I took this opportunity to hone my skills in world-building, writing dialogue, and branching story paths along with Twine's minimal coding interface.
What Worked:
-
Wrote and crafted a dark story with branching paths and multiple endings to choose from
-
Used Twine's coding interface to program different names and pronouns based on player input
What Could Be Improved:
-
The dialogue could have been tweaked to sound more natural
-
Learn Twine more thoroughly to use it in tandem with other game engines
